Salem, Ohio — Local standout student-athlete Maddox Andrea has been recognized by the United Soccer Coaches Association as the 2024-25 High School Scholar All-American Player of the Year, honoring his exceptional performance as the best in the nation—both on the field and in the classroom—at the high school level.

A graduate of United High School and a proud representative of the Type 1 diabetic student-athlete community, Maddox has demonstrated remarkable dedication in earning this prestigious national honor.

“Being named Scholar All-American Player of the Year means the world to me,” said Maddox. “It’s proof that all the early mornings, late nights, and sacrifices were worth it. I wouldn’t be here without the people who believed in me—my teachers who challenged me, my teammates who pushed me, my coaches who guided me, and my family who never stopped supporting me. I am extremely honored to receive this national award and represent the All-American soccer community.”
