Youngstown All Stars to compete in Palomino World Series, pending fundraising

The Youngstown Class B All Stars are headed to Laredo, Texas to compete in the Palomino World Series — but only if they are able to fundraise enough money to cover the expenses of the trip.
The all stars earned their place in the world series last week after a 3-0 tournament win at the East Zone Championship in Greensboro, North Carolina. Through the series, the team, made up of high schoolers from across northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania, hopes to represent their region on a national stage.
A GoFundMe page has been organized to help send the team to compete in the Texas series. On their GoFundMe page, the team is asking community members for help "offsetting extra expenses for the kids' food and travel on the way down to Laredo Texas."
The team is currently at 30 percent of their overall fundraising goal of $2,400.
