PITTSBURGH, Pa - According to a news release from the Department of Justice in the Western District of Pennsylvania, a Farrell man has plead guilty to drug trafficking and firearm crimes.

Daniel George, 36, pleaded guilty to allegedly committing two crimes on July 7, 2022, including:

  • Possession with intent to distribute 28 grams or more of cocaine base, along with quantities of fentanyl and cocaine
  • Possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime

George could receive a total sentence of between 10 years and up to life in prison, a fine of up to $5,250,000 or both.

Actual sentencing imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offense and prior criminal history of George, if any.

The Mercer County Drug Task Force, the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, the FBI, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firears and Explosives conducted the investigation that led to the prosecution of George.

According to the release, this case is part of Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN), a program that aims to bring together all levels of law enforcemen and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and gun violence.
