LIBERTY TWP, Ohio - It has been eight years since Lorraine Lynn, known as Lori Lynn, was found dead on a tractor in a pond on her family’s property in Liberty Township.

Her daughter is still pleading for answers and accountability.

Lynn’s death, initially believed to be an accident, wasn’t ruled a homicide until months later by the medical examiner.

Her daughter, Sami Lynn, said the delayed classification damaged the investigation from the start.

“No foul play, no nothing," she said, "No coroner was called to the scene [initially]."

“If it was treated even as suspicious, there would’ve been a lot of different protocols that were followed," she said, "And evidence would have been collected."

She recalls trying to preserve what little evidence they could as private citizens.

“We were panicking. We tried so hard to just collect all the evidence that we could, that we knew how as citizens," she added, "And it just seems like now it's just too little, too late."

Despite the time that’s passed, Sami Lynn said her family continues to push for justice.

“I just want for someone to come forward or someone to tell the truth,” she said,  “If I don’t make waves and I don’t make some people a little angry, I feel like this story, my mom, her legacy, her life, it would just die out. And I can’t let that happen.”

Lynn said a $25,000 reward remains in place for information leading to an arrest.
