Lou Blaney Memorial Saturday at Sharon Speedway

The 17th annual Lou Blaney Memorial is Saturday at Sharon Speedway.
The event honors Hall of Fame driver Lou Blaney and this years event will also pay special tribute to Kate Blaney, who passed away July 14.
"My grandpa meant a lot to a lot of people in that area," said Ryan Blaney, a co-owner of the speedway and driver of the No.12 Ford in NASCAR.
"Its great to see everyone really enjoys going to that race," said Blaney from his North Carolina home.
Blaney says Saturday night will be special with both grandparents being honored.
"She's the one who really started it and came up with the idea of having a Lou Blaney Memorial race."
Lou Blaney passed away in 2009 after battling Alzheimer's.
Pit passes open at 3:00pm and general admission at 4:00pm. Hot laps/qualifying is at 6:40pm with racing at 7:30 pm
