YOUNGSTOWN  The City of Youngstown launched its new weekly downtown event to connect local artists with the community Thursday evening.

Every Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m., people can bring their own art supplies to the Phelps Street Gateway.

All ages, skill levels and crafts are encouraged to participate.

Free parking will be available on Commerce Street, directly behind 20 Federal Place.

The Phelps Street Creative Evenings will continue through the fall, weather permitting.
