Natural gas bills for Pennsylvanians rising nearly $10 over next quarter

Pennsylvania - Pennsylvanians can expect to see an increase in their natural gas bill over the next three months.
According to a news release, National Fuel Gas Distribution Corporation (National Fuel) submitted its annual adjustment to gas supply charges with the new rates going into effect Friday, August 1.
The adjustment raises the monthly bill for a typical customer with an annual usage of 96,500 cubic feet of gas by $9.57 or about 12%.
The increase brings the average bill from $78.21 to $87.78. The adjustment is $1.19 higher than Natural Fuel projected las December.
The company said the increase is due to higher market prices for natural gas.
Natural Fuel's next potential supply charge change is on November 1.
