BRACEVILLE TWP., Ohio - A 21-year-old motorcyclist died Friday night following a two-vehicle crash in Braceville Township.

The patrol identified the victim as Colin Conklin, of Kent, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

According to a news release, a 2007 Jeep Commander was traveling east on state Route 5 at 8:48 p.m. and was turning left onto state Route 534 when it was struck by Conklin’s westbound 2006 Suzuki motorcycle.

Conklin was transported to a Portage County hospital, where he later died from his injuries. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, the patrol said.  The driver of the jeep wasn’t injured.

The intersection was closed while the crash was being investigated, but has since reopened.

The crash remains under investigation.
