WARREN Parole has been denied for three inmates who were all convicted of violent crimes in Trumbull County.

Firstly, parole was denied for 61-year-old Gregory Click, who is serving an aggregate sentence of 13 to 65 years on charges of aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, attempted rape and theft.

Click's case involved the attack of a 75-year-old woman in Southington in 1994. Prosecutors say the woman was beaten badly on the head and suffered swelling that shut her eyes, as well as bruising on her legs and shoulders.

The woman died three years after the attack.

Click's next chance at parole will be in April of 2029.

Secondly, parole was denied for 55-year-old Brian Clingerman, who is currently serving an aggregate sentence of 12 to 50 years on two counts of rape stemming from incidents from 1994 and 1995 involving two separate victims.

In the first incident, prosecutors say Clingerman used a ladder to enter the bedroom of a 33-year-old woman and "brutally" sexually assaulted her in her sleep, followed by assaulting her to the point where she became disoriented.

In the second incident, Clingerman broke into the home of a 23-year-old mother with her three and four-year-old children in bed with her. Prosecutors say he slammed the woman's head on the bed and sexually assaulted her.

Clingerman's next chance at parole will be in May of 2029.

Finally, parole was denied for 67-year-old Robert Williams, who is currently serving a sentence of 23 years to life on charges of aggravated murder and gross sexual imposition stemming from an incident involving a pregnant waitress in 1988.

Prosecutors say during an argument over the condition of his shrimp dinner, Williams shot the waitress twice in the back of the head and in the back of her torso. When the waitress tried to reach for the telephone, Williams slashed her throat with a knife from the kitchen.

Prosecutors say Williams fondled the waitress's breasts before stepping on her throat until she stopped breathing.

Williams's next chance at parole will be in April of 2027.
