BOARDMAN A pizza shop that has multiple locations in Columbiana, Mercer and Lawrence Counties has opened its first location in Mahoning County.

Fox's Pizza Den held a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony at its newest location at 7530 Market Street in Boardman Wedensday morning.

Fox's Pizza Den is a pizza chain based in the Pittsburgh area that's been serving up Pittsburgh-style pizza since 1972. Other local locations include Columbiana and Lisbon in Ohio, as well as Mercer, Grove City, Greenville and New Castle in Pennsylvania.

"Fox's Pizza Den has been a beloved brand in Pittsburgh for over 50 years, and we felt it was time to share that experience with people of the [Mahoning] Valley," said Fox's Pizza Den representative Tyler Lisko in a press release.

Lisko added that he hopes to open even more locations in Mahoning and Trumbull Counties, as well as Portage and Summit Counties.

In addition to pizza, Fox's also offers stromboli, breadsticks, sandwiches, "wedgies" and a variety of appetizers and desserts.
