Two charged after shots fired at car with two-year-old inside in Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN Two unnamed suspects are facing charges after a fight with a gun led to a car with a toddler inside getting shot up Wednesday afternoon.
Officers responded to the intersection of Shirley Road and East Boston Avenue shortly before 12:30 p.m. Wednesday for a fight with gunfire, as well as a car that drove into a house.
When police got to the scene, police found a man bleeding from the head. The man told police he was coming to pick up his daughter and got into a fight with another man in a home on the 3000 Block of Shirley Road.
Police say the man in the home pulled a gun on the man picking up his and shot it at him, causing him to flee towards his car.
Police went to the Shirley Road home and saw a car crashed into the home with the airbags deployed. Police say the car had multiple broken windows with bullet holes in them. Police also found a bullet hole in a neighboring home.
Police say another man was being taken to the hospital via ambulance after he was hit by the car.
Officers spoke with a woman in the home, who told police that she was waiting with her two-year-old daughter for her father to pick her up for visitation, and told her boyfriend to park his car behind the house because he and the child's father do not get along.
Police say the child's father came over and placed the child in his car, when he saw the woman's boyfriend's car parked in the back. The woman told police the child's father went up to her boyfriend's car and started fighting him and throwing punches.
From there, police say the woman's boyfriend pulled out a gun and hit the child's father with it. Police say the child's father fled back to the car when the woman's boyfriend fired two gunshots, which hit the car's windows and the neighboring home.
Police say the two-year-old was in the car when it was struck by the gunfire.
From there, police say the child's father put his car in drive and "gunned it" hitting the woman's boyfriend, along with another car in the driveway and the house before driving away.
Both suspects were charged with felonious assault and taken to the hospital where they are both said to be in stable condition. The police report redacted the names of both suspects.
