UPDATE: Father, son found dead in Howland Township home
HOWLAND Police in Howland are investigating after two people were found dead in a home in Howland Township Monday night.
The Trumbull County Coroner's Office tells 21 News that one adult male and one juvenile male were found dead in a home on the 5000 Block of Mines Road. The exact ages of the deceased are unknown.
The Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) from Trumbull County states that a 33-year-old male and his 9-year-old son were found deceased inside the basement near the base of the stairs of the home.
The call was received just after 9 p.m. on Monday, but the caller said the deceased were his son and his grandson.
According to the report, the fire department was not letting crews in due to concerns of potential carbon monoxide inside the house. The cause of death has not been determined, but autopsies will be conducted on Wednesday morning, and the Howland Police Department is investigating.
