Werner released a recall report Thursday, regarding the company's 20 foot and 24 foot Multi-Max Pro Multi-Purpose Ladders. The Illinois-based company has recalled roughly 122,250 ladders after finding the ladders' faulty locking mechanism to be a risk to consumers. Werner says the locking mechanism on the ladders is prone to jamming and may not fully lock into place, posing a "fall hazard." 18 falls and 14 injuries, including head injuries and limb fractures, have already been reported to the company.

The ladders were sold at Home Depot stores nationwide as well as online at HomeDepot.com from November 2021 through February 2024; they are silver with a blue top and a blue label on the side rail as well as a long black rope in the back section.

Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the recalled ladders and contact Werner at 888-624-1907 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, visit the company's website or email ladder@realtimeresults.net to receive a full refund.

Werner is also offering details on how to dispose of the ladders. Following disposal, the company stated that it will issue a full refund to consumers, in the form of a check.

The recall number for the Multi-Max Pro Multi-Purpose Ladders is 25-431.
