Youngstown firefighter sentenced for pulling gun on Warren Township firefighter

YOUNGSTOWN A Youngstown firefighter on administrative leave for allegedly brandishing a rifle at two people was sentenced to one year's probation on Tuesday after pleading guilty to less serious charges.
Adaris Bellamy, 34, of Warren, pleaded guilty in Warren Municipal Court to two misdemeanor counts of menacing, which had been reduced from aggravated menacing.
Youngstown Fire Chief Barry Finley sent a letter to 21 News, dated May 6, that Bellamy had been placed on unpaid administrative leave pending the resolution of his criminal case, effective May 9.
According to a letter sent to Bellamy from the Youngstown Law Department, Bellamy allegedly went to the Warren Township Fire Station on April 7 and brandished a rifle in a sweeping motion at a firefighter at the location.
Additionally, the letter goes on to allege that Bellamy then pulled up to a man and a woman at a food donation box located near a bus station and pointed the gun at the man.
The court also ordered Bellamy to have no contact with the victims and was required to surrender the two firearms that were confiscated by the Warren Township Police Department.
