Youngstown Business Incubator, BRITE Energy hold open house, ribbon tying
WARREN The Youngstown Business Incubator (YBI) and BRITE Energy Innovators met in Warren on Tuesday to hold a ribbon tying.
YBI is headquartered in Youngstown while BRITE Energy Innovators is headquartered in Warren. Now, both companies will be paving the path forward - together.
The reason for the tie is to announce a formal partnership between YBI and BRITE Energy.
YBI will be taking over operations of the BRITE Energy facility, helping spur entrepreneurship and new programming and encouraging BRITE Energy to work with YBI startups.
The open house and ribbon tying ceremony took place at BRITE Energy, located at 125 West Market Street in Warren.
CEO of the YBI, Barb Ewing, spoke to 21 News. She thought that the event was important, showing the two companies' commitment to the community.
"We thought it was really important to show the symbolic tying together of the two programs. Everybody does a ribbon cutting. This was a chance to actually show us coming together," said Ewing.
YBI told 21 News that it will be holding workshops and office hours, allowing people to have an opportunity to share ideas.
Furthermore, YBI will be hosting its 2025 Shark Tank event at Mr. Anthony's Banquet Center, located at 7440 South Avenue in Boardman, on October 23.
