Man indicted on murder charge in Warren convenience store shooting

WARREN A Warren man has been indicted in connection with a deadly shooting at a Warren convenience store earlier in August.
23-year-old Savion Woodall is charged with one felony count of murder with a firearms specification, two counts of having weapons under disability and one count each of attempted murder, illegal possession of a firearm in a liquor permit premises, tampering with evidence, carrying concealed weapons and improperly handling of firearms in a motor vehicle.
The charges stem from the shooting death of David Owens III, who was shot and killed in the parking lot of the Convenient Food Mart on Elm Road the morning of Sunday, August 3.
A second man was wounded as a result of this shooting.
In the days following the shooting, Convenient Food Mart was boarded up following authorization from the Trumbull County Court. The store will remain closed until a hearing is set for the city to present its case.
