An "endangered missing adult alert" was issued on Wednesday for a missing man from Portage County.

Information released as of 8 p.m. on Wednesday indicates that Darrell Lee Wayt left his home on Tuesday around 10:50 a.m. and never returned.

A location given for the incident is on Cherry Hill in the city of Rootstown, located in Portage County.

Law enforcement is concerned for his safety.

Wayt is described as a white male, 69-years-old, standing 5-feet-11-inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He is also described to have gray hair and green eyes.

A description of last known clothing was not listed in the alert.

The alert indicates that Wayt is insulin-dependent and does not have his medications with him.

Wayt may be driving a white 2016 Toyota RAV4 with an Ohio license plate number of FRA2022.

Anyone who sees Wayt or the described vehicle is urged to contact 911 or the Portage County Sheriff's Office at 330-296-5100.
