The Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $700 million after no ticket matched all six numbers in Wednesday’s drawing, making it the largest Powerball grand prize in more than a year.

The winning numbers drawn on Wednesday, Aug. 20, were 31, 59, 62, 65, 68, and the Powerball 5. The Power Play multiplier was 2x.

The grand prize, which has an estimated cash value of $316.3 million, has been growing since May 31, 2025, when a ticket in California won a $204.5 million jackpot. The upcoming drawing on Saturday, Aug. 23, will be the 36th drawing in the current jackpot run.

While there was no jackpot winner, two tickets sold matched the five white balls to win a $1 million prize, one each in Michigan and Oklahoma. A third ticket, sold in Tennessee, matched all five white balls and had the Power Play option to win $2 million.

Wednesday’s estimated jackpot of $643 million was the largest Powerball grand prize since a billion-dollar jackpot was won in Oregon on April 6, 2024.

Powerball tickets are $2 per play and are sold in 45 states. Drawings, held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, can be seen on 21 News at 11.
