Salem man sentenced on more than 50 child pornography charges
64-year-old Barry Stephens was sentenced to 33 years in prison after pleading guilty to 51 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor.

SALEM A Salem man learned his fate after pleading guilty to more than 50 child pornography charges.
According to the Columbiana County Prosecutor's Office, 64-year-old Barry Stephens was sentenced to 33 years in prison after pleading guilty to 51 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor.
Once Stephens is released, he must register as a Tier II sex offender for 25 years.
Stephens was arrested during a search warrant at a home on the 1500 block of Depot Road in Salem back in March of 2024 after police received a tip that he had uploaded child pornography online.
Police seized computers, cell phones and other electronics during the search, and a vast amount of child pornography was found on Stephens's computer.
