Youngstown Corvette club presents $5,000 donation to GabbaCamp

YOUNGSTOWN Members of the Mahoning Valley Corvettes club and GabbaCamp were in Austintown on Thursday, where a check was presented.
During the event at the Greenwood Chevrolet, located at 4695 Mahoning Avenue, $5,000 was given to GabbaCamp from the Mahoning Valley Corvettes club.
GabbaCamp, located at 4730 McCartney Road in Lowelville, is a campground resort for people with intellectual, developmental or physical disabilities.
The donation from the Mahoning Valley Corvettes club will go toward forwarding the mission of GabbaCamp and helping develop more cabins on the property.
Jimmy Sutman, the Director of GabbaCamp, told 21 News that they hope to build a total of 15 cabins, a lodge and acquire horses to be used for equine therapy.
At present, five cabins are available to book and stay at on the GabbaCamp grounds.
When asked about the donation, Sutman told 21 News that it is very important, strengthening bonds within the community.
"It's super important because it's a connection to the community. That's something that I always preach with our folks - we need to be a community, everybody's equal," said Sutman.
The Mahoning Valley Corvettes raised the funds through its recent club show in June of 2025.
