GIRARD Girard Police and Firefighters were both called out early Monday to a reported house fire in the city.

A call came into the Trumbull Dispatch Center at around 5:30 a.m. reporting flames in an apartment on West Wilson Avenue, just west of State Street.

The first firefighter on the scene reported smoke coming from the house.

Once inside, they found that a couch and a nearby box were burning and quickly extinguished the flames.

Investigators are trying to determine if the fire was set intentionally.
