HUBBARD  One person was injured early Tuesday after a van ran into a cow along North Main Street in Hubbard.

The front of the van was crushed when the cow wandered into its path at Hibler Lane, north of Interstate 80 just after 5 a.m.

State troopers say the van's driver was taken to a hospital in Sharon with minor injuries. The cow died in the crash.

Troopers are trying to contact the animal's owner.
