'World's Largest' demolition derby headlines Friday's Canfield Fair

CANFIELD A demolition derby will highlight Friday at the Canfield Fair, which is also “Bike Night”. The day's events also include a range of agricultural showcases, arts demonstrations, and live music.
Fairgoers can attend various animal judging events throughout the day. The Jr. Fair Market Beef Fitting and Showmanship will take place at the Michael Kusalaba Event Center, followed by Holstein and Jersey cattle judging at the Cattle Arena. Sheep judging takes place in the Show Coliseum.
Horse events are also scheduled, including Jr. Fair Saddle Horse shows in the South Horse Ring. Draft Horse Halter Judging is set for the East Ring, and Registered Welsh, Hackney, and Shetland Pony Judging will be held in the South Horse Ring. Later, the Supreme Champion Dairy Judging will commence in the Cattle Arena.
For those interested in arts and crafts, the Fine Arts Building will host demonstrations by Trumbull Area Artists and YMCA Artists. A Woodcarving Demonstration is scheduled in the Fine Arts Building. Live music performances will feature Two Fiddles and a Pic, Got Mana and Mike Cunningham, all in the Fine Arts Building.
Family-friendly activities include a "Spherical Snacks" demonstration at the Canfield Fair Fruit, Hay & Grain building. The PennOhio Clay Guild will offer a Family Clay Experience at the Fine Arts Gazebo.
Music acts are also scheduled across the fairgrounds, with Jim Popp-Real Country Music performing at the Western Reserve Village, Davis and Henner at the Western Reserve Village and Dickey White on the Concourse Stage.
The day concludes with what is being billed as “The World’s Largest Demolition Derby”, preceded by other evening events such as the Jr. Fair Market Livestock Sale for poultry and the main Jr. Fair Market Livestock Sale, both at the Michael Kusalaba Event Center. A Bike Night will also take place at the Concourse.

Daily gate prices vary, with free parking available every day. On Friday, youth tickets (ages 7-12) are $5, adult tickets (13 and up) are $10, and senior citizen tickets (62 and up) are $6.
