YOUNGSTOWN  If you're looking for some free fun for the kids, the OH WOW! Children’s Center for Science & Technology will host its 15th annual Silly Science Sunday festival on Sept. 14 in Wean Park.

The free event, which focuses on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM), will feature over 30 displays from regional exhibitors from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Festival attendees will have the chance to interact with robots, explore the science of skateboarding, learn about Ohio's astronauts, and run on oobleck, made famous with kids from a Dr. Seuss story.  Youngstown State University will also have displays showcasing its STEM programs.

Katie Seminara-DeToro, OH WOW!’s executive director, said the event is a downtown tradition that offers educational experiences for all ages.

The festival is free and open to the public. Organizers suggest attendees park at the Covelli Centre and walk to the park through the Huntington Community Alleyway.

The OH WOW! facility will be closed for the day, but will offer free passes for a future visit.
