COLUMBIANA CITY The 138th annual Columbiana Street Fair begins Thursday, offering three days of rides, games, and food. The fair, which runs from Sept. 4-6, is organized by the Benjamin Firestone Post 290 of the American Legion.

The event starts on Thursday at 5 p.m. and closes at 10 p.m. On Friday, the fair runs from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The final day, Saturday, has extended hours from noon to 11 p.m. Kissel Amusements will provide the midway rides, games, and food.

Highlights of the fair include the annual parade on Thursday. It steps off at 6:30 p.m. from the Firestone Park pool entrance. Parade registration for floats, walking groups, and vehicles begins at 5 p.m. at the pool parking lot. Antique cars and tractors will register at the pavilion parking lot near the pond and tennis courts.

On Friday, the fair will host a special needs day at noon, with private access to the midway and a free lunch for students with special needs.

The Columbiana Street Fair, which has been organized by the American Legion since 1920, is held at 1 South Main Street.
