The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Ohio has finalized and approved a strategic plan that will be in place for the next three years through 2028.

The ACLU is a nonprofit organization that focuses on the importance of fighting back and moving forward for civil rights across Ohio and the country.

To celebrate the finalization of the strategic plan, they will be sharing the plan statewide in seven cities, connecting with supporters and outlining priorities for the years ahead.

To begin the statewide tour, the group held a town hall in Youngstown, where the group got its start in 1921, to share the strategic plan.

Ben Guess, the Executive Director of the ACLU of Ohio, spoke to 21 News at the event, saying that after traveling and speaking to Ohioans about the current climate, the group's mission is more urgent than ever.'

"It's really important for people to come together, to realize our collective power, to not panic, but to actually organize and to make a difference," said Guess.
