The Mahoning County Sheriff's Department is investigating an allegation of sexual assault involving two Canfield teenagers last month.

According to a report, officers were dispatched to an Austintown emergency room in the early hours of August 10.

That's where they spoke with the father of the 17-year-old alleged victim, who said he'd gotten a call from the alleged teenage perpetrator, asking him not to press charges after he got "a little drunk" at a party and sexually assaulted the other teen with a pool cue.

The alleged incident was reported to have happened in Canfield Township. So far, no charges have been filed.
