Sharon Police have arrested a 34-year-old suspect in a July 18 homicide in the city.

Police have arrested and charged Paisley Jamgochian, aka Paisley Conover, with criminal homicide and aggravated assault in the death of Andrew Rada.

According to the police report, officers were called to the hospital on July 6 after Rada was taken there with a severe head wound. Police spoke with his girlfriend, Jamgochian, who told police that Rada was recently "jumped" by a group of individuals who struck him with a glass object.

Jamgochian said that the attack happened in the 700 block of Baldwin Avenue in the city and officers followed a blood trail to the house where Rada and Jamgochian were living in the 800 block of the same street.

Rada was life-flighted but later died from his injuries.

Jamgochian used Rada's cell to contact his family and allegedly told them he had suffered a stroke, but no mention of a physical assault, according to the report.

After Rada's death, Jamgochian is alleged to have made conflicting statements and was unable to explain to officers how shards of glass were located outside of the house and in the bushes, according to the report.

Rada's family and friends told officers that Jamgochian was allegedly "very aggressive and very abusive" to him, and provided photos of alleged previous injuries.

Other witnesses told police that the couple was at a cookout on July 6, and while both were drinking, said that Jamgochian was alleged to be "highly intoxicated."

Jamgochian was arraigned in Judge Mary Odem's court on Thursday, and bail was set at $1 million.

Jamgochian has a preliminary hearing scheduled for September 24 at 1 p.m.
