BOARDMAN A wedding party at a Boardman restaurant turned into a brawl that brought police agencies from around the Valley late Saturday.

Three men were arrested after a fight broke out at a wedding celebration at Aqua Pazzo, located on McClurg Road, just after 10 p.m.

According to a police report, officers first arriving at the scene saw about 20 people yelling and screaming at each other outside the main entrance.

An officer used pepper spray to disperse the crowd and summoned police from other communities.  The crowd grew to between 40 and 50 people.

The police report identified the three arrested as Alexander Holmes, 28, of Warren; Speros Theofilos, 32, of Tampa, Florida; and John Holmes, 57, also of Tampa, Florida.

The report says Alexander Holmes was arrested for obstructing official business, a felony, and misdemeanor resisting arrest after he refused to leave the premises and resisted officers attempting to escort him out.

Theofilos was arrested after an officer said he struck another officer in the neck with a closed fist. The report indicates that a taser was used to gain control of Theofilos. He was charged with felony assaulting a police officer, obstructing official business, and a misdemeanor count of resisting arrest.

Theofilos was taken to Mercy Health Youngstown for medical treatment before being taken to the Mahoning County Jail. The police report states that the officer who was struck had a red mark on his neck and a bleeding finger.

John Holmes was arrested for misdemeanor assault after a male, identified in the report as a victim, told an officer he was punched in the face three times. The victim had a bruised eye but declined medical attention.

All three men were transported to the Mahoning County Jail, where they await a hearing scheduled for Tuesday morning in county court.

Images from a 21 News viewer showed emergency vehicles lined up outside the business.

The agencies included Beaver, Canfield, Poland, Mill Creek Metro Parks, Austintown, and Springfield police departments, as well as the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office.
