A Canton area woman who was the subject of a statewide endangered missing adult alert has been found safe, and a man accused of kidnapping her has been arrested.

Kayla Marie Giltz, 31, of Jackson Township, was located unharmed Thursday morning with Jamie Triplett, 38, at a hotel in Perry Township, according to the Jackson Township Police Department.

Police had responded to a missing person report on Wednesday at Sunset Strip Ave. in Jackson Township. It was reported that Giltz was taken by knifepoint against her will by Triplett. Authorities issued a statewide alert for Giltz shortly after.

Giltz and Triplett were located at the Perry Inn on Lincoln Way shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday.

Triplett was arrested and booked into the Stark County Jail on charges of aggravated robbery, kidnapping, disrupting public service, and aggravated menacing.
