61st annual Hartford Apple Festival underway, some roads to close for events
Some roads will be closing ahead of festivities on Saturday and Sunday to allow for not only the parade, but also the 5K run or one-mile walk that is featured as part of the festival.

HARTFORD TWP., Ohio - The 61st annual Hartford Apple Festival is underway as of Friday and will continue through Sunday, September 21, 2025.
Featuring entertainment, games, food and drinks and free admission, the community is invited to participate in the 2025 festival.
Some roads will be closing ahead of festivities on Saturday and Sunday to allow for not only the parade, but also the 5K run or one-mile walk that is featured as part of the festival.
On Saturday, the following roads will be closed from 5:30 to 7 p.m.:
- State Route 7 at Drake Stateline Road
- State Route 7 at Spencer Clark Road
- State Route 305 at Bushnell Campbell Road
- State Route 305 at Custer Orangeville Road
- Hartford Five Points Road at Bushnell Campbell Road
On Sunday, more roads will be closed from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., including:
- State Route 305 between State Route 7 and Brockway Sharon Road (Stateline Road)
- Custer Orangeville Road at State Route 305

Saturday, September 20
- 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Horticulture Registration at the Fire Hall, 180 Smith Street
- 10 a.m. Crafts on the grounds
- At noon, there will be a kids tractor pull, horticulture judging, a flag raising by Boy Scout Troop #90 and the Trumbull County Antique Tractor Display
- Noon to 10 p.m. Games and other amusements
- 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Horticulture display
- 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Line up for parade
- 6 p.m. Parade begins
- 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Entertainment by The Dorals
- 10 p.m. Festival closes for the night
Sunday, September 21
- 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. Registration opens for the 5K Run and One Mile Walk
- 9 a.m. Run/Walk begins
- 10 a.m. Crafts on the grounds
- 10:30 a.m. Non-denominational church service
- At noon, there will be a flag raising by Boy Scout Troop #90
- Noon to 9 p.m. Games and other amusements, along with food, vendors and local booths
- 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Mr. Joe Show
- 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Entertainment by Justified and a horticulture display
- 1 p.m. Apple Pie Eating Contest
- 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. 27th annual Car Cruise-In at the Hartford Methodist Church, 6830 State Route 305
- 2 p.m. Apple Peeling Contest
- 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Entertainment by The Dawn Savage Band
- 9 p.m. Festival closes for the season
