EAST LIVERPOOL - Esther House, a local nonprofit held its 4th annual golf outing at Turkana Golf Course in East Liverpool Saturday morning to help build one of its most anticipated projects.

Esther House is an organization that provides services to women around the Valley that are in vulnerable situations such as experiencing homelessness while pregnant.

Proceeds from the outing go towards the Esther House's efforts to build a 6-unit home, intended to bring sanctuary to these women.

This event is the organizations main fundraiser of the year that began four years ago with 11 teams, and has since ballooned to 36 teams.

Gina Tatgenhorst, the executive director of Esther House, expressed extremed gratitude and appreciation at the event for those willing to help the organization in any way they can.

"Without all of these kind people and all of our volunteers, we could not do the work that we are doing," Tagenhorst said.

Esther House is in the process of collecting the necessary funds to break ground and make the maternity home a reality.
