GROVE CITY, Pa. -  Police gave the "all-clear" at the Grove City College campus Sunday evening after a report of shots fired at the campus library, which law enforcement officials believe was a "swatting" incident triggered by a computer-generated call.

Grove City Police received calls of shots fired at the Henry Buhl Library around 4 p.m. Sunday, the Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release. State police and Grove City police responded to the scene, but found no evidence of an active shooter, victims, or witnesses.

The incident is believed to be a "computer-generated swatting call," state police said. Swatting is the act of making a false report to emergency services to draw a large police response to a specific location.

The library was evacuated, and a shelter-in-place order was issued for students before authorities issued an all-clear notification.

No injuries were reported, and authorities stated there is no immediate threat to students, faculty, or Grove City Borough residents. The campus was secured following the search.

The Pennsylvania State Police is investigating the incident with assistance from the Grove City Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Mercer State Police.
