WARREN A Warren man who was on probation for a previous felony conviction related to child pornography was arrested on Friday and charged with a new count of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, a second-degree felony.

Kyle Lyons, 25, of Perkinswood Blvd. SE was booked into the Trumbull County Jail on the charge. According to Warren Municipal Court records, the court set his bond at $500,000 due to his criminal history, which includes a similar felony conviction.

Lyons was out of prison and on supervision from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction at the time he was arrested.

Records from the department show Lyons was paroled on Oct. 22, 2024, but remained under five years of supervision.

Lyons had been sentenced in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on Oct. 26, 2022, to an indefinite prison term of a minimum of two years to a maximum of three years after pleading guilty to three counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and one count of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, all second-degree felonies.

The previous case involved Lyons creating or publishing images of nude female children, with victims listed in the indictment as young as 6 months and as old as 8 years, according to 21 News archives. As part of that sentence, he was required to register as a sex offender.

Lyons pleaded "not guilty" to the latest charge during a jail arraignment on Friday. A contested cases hearing is set for Oct. 2 at 1:30 p.m.

The new charge, pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, is a second-degree felony, according to court documents. Lyons remained in jail as of Monday.
