Valley Swifties gather at Target for midnight release of new Taylor Swift album

BOARDMAN Some Swifties in the Mahoning Valley gathered at the Target stores in both Boardman and Niles for the midnight release of Taylor Swift's newest album, "The Life of a Showgirl."
"The Life of a Showgirl" is Swift's 12th studio album, and her first since she became the owner of her entire music catalog. More than 100 fans, young and old, showed up to the Boardman store to get their hands on the album.
Some fans in the crowd told 21 News they've followed Swift's journey through music for over two decades.
"I've been a Swiftie for more than 20 years now, so supporting Taylor and being on this journey with her has been incredible. Whenever I can be out to support her, I like to show my support," said Cheyann Rudebock.
Despite the Boardman location enforcing its juvenile curfew policy, fans under 18 were still able to show up with their parents to pick up the album. Some of those younger fans say it was their parents who got them into Swift's music.
"I've loved Taylor ever since my mom introduced me to her. The first song I probably ever listened to was 'Out of the Woods,' and we were going to a pool party. Her voice was just, like, magical," said Peyton Sumners.
Fans were limited to four copies each of the album, which was available on multiple formats, including CD and vinyl.
