2000: Two burglary suspects are in Trumbull County Jail after neighbors dubbed them the over-the-hill gang, John Shaffer, 76, and Frank Volk, 65. They captured the 21- and 19-year-old burglars inside a home on Frederick Avenue in Niles.
Six men are arrested in Youngstown by an undercover policewoman for soliciting prostitution, including an 80-year-old man who smiled when asked his age.
