CORTLAND  A new place to shop for antiques, collectibles, and handcrafted items is holding a grand opening in Cortland beginning today.

The Pearl Street Market will open its doors to the public with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for 10 a.m. at 124 Pearl St.

Drawing inspiration from the founders' interest in antiquing, owners say the space aims to bring together a mix of local artisans, vintage collectors, and creative vendors.

The inventory will feature a variety of items, ranging from home goods and vintage pieces to smaller collectibles. Examples of available merchandise include a vintage Toledo candy scale, an edge table with a vintage cast iron Singer sewing machine base, and various painted wood cabinets and pottery pitchers. Items like Tootsie Caramel Apple Pops and small handcrafted shelf sitters are also listed in the market's inventory.

The market is kicking off a week of events, family fun, local vendors, giveaways, and treats.
