YOUNGSTOWN The Professional Bull Riders, or PBR, will bring its Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour back to the Covelli Centre for the third consecutive season, and eighth time in PBR history, on Feb. 27-28, 2026. Tickets for the Busch Light PBR Youngstown event are on sale now.

The two-day event will feature 40 top riders competing in two rounds atop some of the rankest bulls in the sport. The top 10 riders with the highest aggregate scores after the first two rounds will advance to the third and final championship round to compete for the event title.

The Covelli Centre will be converted into an arena using 750 tons of dirt, or 1.5 million pounds. A crew of about 30 will work to prepare the venue. The event is set to feature more than 50 bucking bulls.

Riders will compete for Velocity points, which contribute to the Velocity Global Standings. These standings determine which athletes qualify for the season-ending Velocity Tour Finals in Corpus Christi, Texas, the first week of May 2026. The top three Velocity Finals riders not already qualified for the PBR World Finals earn a spot in the World Championship event the second week in May 2026.

João Lucas Campos, a PBR Teams Series star for the Florida Freedom, won the 2025 Youngstown event with an aggregate score of 177 points. Ethan Winckler finished runner-up with 173.5 points. Dawson Branton won the event in 2024.

The competition on Friday, Feb. 27, begins at 8 p.m. EST, and the event on Saturday, Feb. 28, begins at 7 p.m. EST.

Tickets can be purchased at the Covelli Centre Box Office, online at Ticketmaster.com and PBR.com. PBRewards members can also call PBRDirect at 800-732-1727 or purchase via PBR.com.
