Residents and businesses in Boardman along Market Street and Western Reserve Road are experiencing power outages on Wednesday morning.

Nearly 2,000 homes and businesses are without power south of Palestine Avenue along Market Street, and includes portions of Southern Blvd. to the east and Glenwood Avenue to the west.

Western Reserve Road is without power from the Ohio Turnpike overpass to a few blocks from South Avenue. 

Boardman High School and Glenwood Junior High power has been restored. 

According to Ohio Edison, power is expected to be restored by noon, and the company is investigating the cause of the outage. 

Ohio Edison told 21 News that a bird caused the outage this morning.
