It's a growing trend across the country -- bars dedicated to airing women's sports. The first of its kind named 'Title 9' recently opened in Pittsburgh in May of 2025.

You can watch everything from the University of Pittsburgh and Penn State women's athletics, to the WNBA and more.

"We've been missing this audience for so many years and it's important to show the world that all sports are important," said Sherree Goldstein, Title 9 owner.

The first bar to air all-women's sports opened in Portland, Oregon in 2022. Now you can find nearly two dozen throughout the country.

"This idea sprouted from a group of friends always wanting to watch women's sports and talking about it so we had this extra dining room from my other restaurant and we decided to go with what's happening in the rest of the country," said Goldstein.

Goldstein admits the idea faced some backlash but she's happy to bring a unique spot to the city.

"There was a lot of attention when we first started to open and people thought we were crazy and you know I do risky things," said Goldstein.

The bar/restaurant features multiple TVs and a menu that includes burgers, wraps, salads, wings, local brews and an extensive cocktail/mocktail menu.

Although Title 9 focuses on airing women's sports, everyone is welcome inside the restaurant.

"People are so excited when they come in, they love the feel, they love the vibe," said Goldstein.

With WNBA viewership increasing by 25 percent in 2025 and the Women's College World Series becoming the most-watched ever -- Title 9 aims to continue moving the needle for women's sports.
