SHARON Police have charged a Sharon woman after she allegedly encouraged her daughter to fight another juvenile.

Thirty-two-year-old Latice Rashai Elhady was charged with Endangering the Welfare of Children on Wednesday. The charge stems from an alleged incident that occurred on the evening of September 11 on Flowers Avenue.

According to a police affidavit, Elhady, the mother of one juvenile, allegedly drove her daughter to the location following a confrontation between the two girls at Sharon Middle School earlier in the day.

Police say a cell phone video shows the mother and daughter getting out of a car and approaching the second juvenile.

During the ensuing fight, the mother allegedly yelled statements, including "F--k her up," to her daughter. She is also alleged to have threatened a friend of the other juvenile, saying, "B---h, you better back up, 'cause I don't got no problem fighting a kid".

Police wrote that the video shows Elhady made "no clear effort to prevent the physical altercation and is repeatedly seen escalating the situation".

A preliminary hearing for Elhady is scheduled for Oct. 29 at 10 a.m.
