FOWLER TWP., Ohio - A Tuesday morning traffic crash temporarily shut down a stretch of Youngstown-Kingsville Road in Fowler Township and sent two people to the hospital.

A pickup truck and a septic tank truck sideswiped each other just north of Cadwallader Sonk Road shortly before 7:30 a.m., sending the car about 100 yards off the road into a cornfield and the truck into a ditch.

State Troopers say both drivers were hospitalized with injuries that are not life-threatening.

 

 

A Hazmat team was dispatched to the crash scene to contain fuel leaking from the truck.
