WARREN According to Warren City Assistant Fire Chief Jarrod Perry, firefighters from around the region are taking part in a regional training series during the week, with several days allotted for training.

From 9 a.m. to about 3 p.m. on October 14, 15 and 16, firefighters will be conducting aerial ladder training. Several area departments have been invited to participate.

The purpose of the training is to become familiar with and train firefighters on how to respond to situations that require the use of a ladder fire truck.

The training is being conducted by the Ohio Fire Academy, a bureau within the Division of State Fire Marshal, who provide training to first responders of Ohio.
