NORTH JACKSON, Ohio - Salem Regional Medical Center showed off its brand-new urgent care center in North Jackson on Tuesday.

The new center, located on Mahoning Avenue, offers patients walk-in medical care with no appointment necessary.

Salem Regional President and CEO Anita Hackstedde says with all the new developments in Mahoning and Trumbull County, North Jackson was a perfect location for the facility.

"With all the industry going up, especially in this region, we thought it was a great opportunity. Dr. Dhaliwal does all the occupational health and pre-employment physicals and all of the necessary requirements for those companies, so we felt it was a great opportunity for us to be here and to help that out," Hackstedde said.

In addition, the new center will provide help for minor fractures, sprains, upper respiratory infections and flu symptoms.
