Some batches of Ben's Original rice recalled, could contain small stones

Some batches of Ben's Original rice are being voluntarily recalled after it was discovered that the batches could contain small stones.
According to the recall notice from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the stones originate from the rice farm where the rice was harvested.
The small stones could pose a possible risk of oral or digestive tract injury if consumed.
The recall affects a limited number of Ben's Original rice varieties, including:
- Ben's Original Ready Rice Long Grain White Rice
- Ben's Original Ready Rice Whole Grain Brown Rice
- Ben's Original Ready Rice Long Grain & Wild Rice
The recalled products were sold at a variety of retailers, including HEB, Target, United Markets, Amazon and Piggly Wiggly.
Affected batch codes of the long grain white rice products include 533ELGRV22 and 534ALGRV22, both with "best by" dates of August 2026.
Additionally, affected batch codes of the whole grain brown rice include 534AMGRV22, 534BMGRV22 and 534DMGRV22, all with "best by" dates of August 2026.
Lastly, affected batch codes of the long grain and wild rice products include 533BMGRV22, 533CLGRV22 and 533CMGRV22, all with "best by" dates of August 2026.
The notice specifies that the recall is limited to just the batch codes listed above, and no other Ben's Original products are affected.
No injuries or illnesses have been reported to date.
