WARREN A Leavittsburg man who pled guilty to a dozen child pornography charges in August has learned his fate.

An employee in Judge Sean O'Brien's court tells 21 News that 45-year-old James Harper was handed an indefinite sentence of 10 to 13-and-a-half years in prison on seven counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor and five counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance.

Harper must also register as a tier 3 sex offender.

According to the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office, Harper had videos of girls between the ages of two and eight years old nude or being involved in sexual assaults between December of 2023 and March of 2024.

The mother of one of the victims is quoted in a press release saying no amount of time will erase what happened.

"It doesn't stop here. [The victims] will have to deal with it for the rest of their lives," the victim's mother said.

Harper is already serving a year-and-a-half prison sentence for disseminating matter harmful to juveniles and pandering obscenity.

Trumbull County Assistant Prosecutor Gabe Wildman previously told 21 News that while Harper's first case was pending, a search warrant was executed where officers found 40 devices containing child pornography.

Wildman is quoted in the release describing Harper as "an especially dangerous guy."
