CANFIELD Mill Creek MetroParks Bikeway will be partially closed on Thursday in Canfield for additional soil sampling.

Environmental Inc. will be taking soil samples as part of the continued required testing and remediation response to the Material Sciences Corporation chemical spill and subsequent soil contamination, Mill Creek MetroPark said in a news release.

Closure is expected to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 23 and extend into late afternoon. Inclement weather conditions may alter the project schedule or delay reopening.
