YOUNGSTOWN The Covelli Centre has launched a "20 Years of Memories" Photo Contest, inviting fans to share their favorite snapshots and stories from past events as the downtown venue celebrates its two-decade anniversary. The contest's grand prize winner will receive a pair of Club Level Tickets to 10 shows in 2026.

The competition is part of the celebration marking the venue’s official 20th anniversary on Oct. 29. Since opening its doors in 2005, the center has hosted thousands of concerts, sporting events, and community celebrations, featuring artists such as Elton John, Carrie Underwood, and Kid Rock.

Jamie DeFrank, marketing manager for the Covelli Centre and JAC Live, emphasized the venue’s impact on the city.

“From world-class concerts and community fundraisers to events like Panerathon and Y-Live, the Covelli Centre has played an essential role in downtown Youngstown’s revitalization,” DeFrank said. “This anniversary isn’t just about looking back — it’s about celebrating how this venue continues to bring people, energy, and opportunity to our city.”

Fans can submit their favorite memories, along with accompanying stories, online at CovelliCentre.com. Submissions are open starting Friday and will close at 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 9.

The center will announce the top 10 finalists on Nov. 10, when public voting begins. Fans can vote for their favorite photo online until Nov. 16, with the grand prize winner announced on Nov. 17. The prize of 10 shows for the following year will be mutually agreed upon between the winner and the Covelli Centre.
