LISBON A Leetonia man was sentenced to two years of intensive supervision probation and received a suspended jail term Wednesday after a conviction for voyeurism in Columbiana County Municipal Court.

Scott Andre, of Leetonia, was found guilty of the third-degree misdemeanor charge of voyeurism by Judge Timothy McNicol, after Andre pleaded no contest.

The court sentenced Andre to 60 days in the county jail, but the entire 60-day term was suspended. Andre was also ordered to pay a $500 criminal fine and total court fees of $1,020.

As part of the conditions of his sentence, Andre was placed on 60 days of electronic monitoring house arrest. He is also required to register as a sex offender.

The Leetonia School District Board fired Andre following a disciplinary hearing on Feb. 13 after an internal investigation.

The allegations included pursuing recently graduated female students for what the district deemed "inappropriate intentions" and asking a former student under the legal drinking age to suggest alcoholic beverages for him.

Andre was also accused of engaging in corporal punishment by striking girls' hands with a ruler if they did not have their school-issued identification badges when boarding the bus, which violated Board Policy.

Furthermore, the district alleged Andre entered a locker room where a junior high school girl was changing, despite a coach's request that he not enter.

The district also claimed Andre's personal cell phone contained what appeared to be inappropriate pictures of female staff members and sixth-grade girls.

Judge McNicol issued a post-conviction no-contact order, which prohibits Andre from having any direct or indirect communication with the victim, identified in court documents as L.M. This includes social media contact and going to the person’s residence, school, or place of employment. Andre must also perform 20 hours of community service.

The charge stemmed from an offense that occurred on April 1, 2024, and was filed by the Leetonia Police Department
