COLUMBIANA CITY A community job fair focused on the manufacturing and labor industries is scheduled this week in Columbiana. The event offers individuals an opportunity to meet with local employers and access job readiness support services.

The free job fair will be held on Wednesday, October 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Riser Tavern on the Links, 105 ½ St. Andrews Dr. It is hosted by the Flying HIGH Inc. Professional Development Center in partnership with OhioMeansJobs of Mahoning and Columbiana counties. The event is sponsored by PHD Manufacturing, Inc.

The fair is open to anyone who is underemployed or currently seeking a job, with an emphasis on connecting job seekers to companies hiring for positions in the manufacturing and labor sectors. Organizers noted that the jobs being offered typically include competitive wages and benefits. Attendees will have the chance to speak directly with hiring personnel from multiple participating companies.

Support is also available for strengthening professionalism and workplace skills.
